R&P 37: Casting

Casting

When casting for the role of the lead singer we needed to find someone who was believable in the role also as a bonus if the actress could play the guitar it would make it even more believable.

Actress #1:

Orla O'Carroll

Actress #2:

Christa Grayling

Actress #3:

Vicky Olejniczak

Actress #4:

Eden Laudat

In the end we decided to choose Eden as our actress because we felt she fitted the song well and also she is musically gifted to she could make the video authentic. Eden can both sing and play the guitar and also she has had experience of being in music videos before so she was the perfect fit.

What have I learned from this post?

This post helped me to establish the right person to sue for my music video. This is a huge part of the overall process as the person should be both believable in the role of the artist and also have a star persona.

We have shots from many angles of Birdy and also different types of shots e.g close up, medium shot. This adds different dimensions to the video and adds depth. Another key feature I also noticed was close ups of Birdy playing the piano. Of course my song doesn't use a piano however close ups of the guitar would be a great ...
